Geological Society of China was founded in Beijing on February 3, 1922, which is one of the earliest academic organizations in China. Geological Society of China is an academic mass organization composed of Chinese geological scientists and technologists. Its supervisor is China Association for Science and Technology, and its affiliated unit is the Ministry of Natural Resources. The office of the society is located in the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, which consists of the Department of Comprehensive Coordination, the Department of Achievement and Talent Selection, the Department of Credit System construction, the Department of academic exchange and the Department of periodicals.

China Metallurgical Mining Enterprises Association was established by the Mining Department of the former Ministry of Metallurgical Industry and approved by the Ministry of Civil Affairs in 1991. In 2011, it was rated as A Grade 4A association by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. As the only national industry organization of metallurgical mines, it aims to promote the implementation of national guidelines, policies and decrees on metallurgical production and construction; Play a bridge role between member units and government departments, reflect the wishes and requirements of member units, convey the intention of government departments, and assist government departments to actively coordinate services; Play the role of bond, enhance the unity and exchange of members, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the mine, and serve the member units; To serve the development of metallurgical mining industry, promote the reform, opening up and revitalization of mines, improve operation and management, enhance economic benefits, and promote the technological progress and development of mining industry.

China National Administration of Coal Geology (CNACG) established in 1953, is a central enterprise under the direct management of SASAC. It is a comprehensive enterprise group of geological survey and ecological civilization construction with the largest scale, the widest business range and the strongest technical force. It is the industry management agency of coal and chemical resource exploration. CNACG has more than 200 subordinate bodies including China Chemical Geology And Mine Bureau, professional branch bureaus, provincial/state bureaus of coal geology and centers/institutes/teams, which are distributed in 22 provinces, cities and states. China Metallurgical Geology Bureau (CMGB) established by the state in 1952. It is a public welfare state-owned enterprise with the responsibility of improving the resource guarantee ability. It is mainly engaged in the geological exploration, research, development and service of solid minerals, production of super-hard materials and manufacturing of mechanical equipment. The total assets are more than 23 billion RMB. It operates, manages and supervises state assets according to related laws, and shoulders the corresponding responsibility of maintaining and increasing the value of state assets. CMGB has 11 bureaus (centers) and 6 holding companies, branches are located in 20 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government. Looking forward to the future, CMGB will continue to take "providing resource guarantee and realizing industry serving the country" as its own duty, and build "first-class green resource and environment service provider" as its goal, make full use of its advantages and make great efforts to make new and greater contributions to easing national resource constraints!

In June 1999, the former Ministry of Land and Resources was transferred to the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region for localized administration by the Natural Resources Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region (the former Department of Land and Resources). It was founded in 1957 in Beijing and is now located in Langfang city, Hebei Province. It is the first Institute of application technology of Prospecting engineering in China and the affiliated unit of The Professional Committee of Prospecting Engineering, Chinese Geological Society. "Drilling Engineering" (formerly known as "Prospecting Engineering (Rock and soil drilling engineering)") industry journal organizer.
